The Management test server (laszlo) is the staging environment for the School of Management

Mapping new drive to laszlo: 

Click 'Start' then 'Computer' then  'Map Network Drive' 

Windows 10 users: Open explorer, select 'this PC' on the left hand side, select 'computer tab', click 'Map network drive'

(you can use any drive letter that is not currently in use but for this example we are using R:)

In the box next to 'Folder' type:     \\mnsv-laszlo.campus.bath.ac.uk\htdocs 

Make sure 'Reconnect at logon' is ticked and press finish.

if you cannot access this folder you will need to speak to IT Support

The live server

The Management (and University) live web server is waltz.

Click 'Start' then 'Computer' then  'Map Network Drive'

In the box next to 'Folder' type:  \\waltz.campus.bath.ac.uk\wwwgroup

Make sure 'Reconnect at logon' is ticked and press finish.

if you cannot access this folder you will need to speak to IT Support

Removing a mapped drive

If you already have a network drive mapped and want to remove it then follow this:

In Windows Explorer Tools > Disconnect network drive:

or right click on the Network Location and you should see disconnect

To see what path a drive letter maps to

Start up a command prompt window (Click 'Start' and type  cmd  in the 'Search' box)

At the command prompt type     net use

This will list the mapped drives

Drive R: should be mapped to     \\mnsv-laszlo.campus.bath.ac.uk\htdocs
