If you intend to record presentations yourself on an PC other than one in a lecture theatre, you can use the Panopto Recorder application to do this.

Panopto Recorder Installation

For a centrally managed PC, you will need to place a request with your IT supporter to install this by completing the Computing Services Help Form.

If you have your own PC, and can download and install the software yourself.

Recording a session

Session Recording

Moodle course users should add the Panopto Focus block in the relevant course before running the software. If you do not have a Moodle course then you will need to arrange with Audio Visual to setup a record area for you.

We recommend a high quality microphone, a DV camera (if you have a Firewire connection on your PC) or webcam to use with this. Good results have been produced with the following devices:
